The core objective of RecruitAgri is to empower local youth through skills development and facilitating employment specifically within the agricultural sector.
The initiative exposes agricultural graduates, who already have a diploma or degree in agriculture, to theoretical classes backed up by practical learning and experience. Whilst the programme is largely based in Mpumalanga on local avo, kiwi and macadamia farms, it has expanded to include other provinces in South Africa.
Since the programme’s inception in 2018, 114 of the RecruitAgri graduates have been successfully employed, with positions ranging from Assistant Farm Managers to specialised agricultural roles. In 2025, there were 39 learners who graduated from the programme.
The syllabus focuses on learning and developing sustainable farming practices, with long-term sustainability objectives and motives. Alongside the practical and agricultural-focused content, learners are also exposed to business theory and a focus on entrepreneurship.
Once the students have completed their 10 month programme, the goal is to match them with a potential employer, ensuring they can be employed in positions fully aligned to their passion, knowledge and skills – with mutual benefit for the youth, the farmers and the agricultural sector.

Established in 1994, the organisation focuses on collaboration, continuous learning, and measurable results, Uplands Outreach works to strengthen education at every level and create lasting change within the communities it serves.
WISEUP
Women in Sports Education Upliftment Programme
WISEUP exists to uplift young girls through sport and education. Their key focus is on facilitating the successful participation of young black women, from Langa and Khayelitsha, in sports tournaments including the Rustenburg Girls High School Champions Cup.
